With more than 30 years of experience in construction, Mike developed his passion for the industry early, growing up around job sites and taking on hands-on labour work from a young age. After high school, he moved into renovations and later completed his apprenticeship as a residential framer. Over the decades, he has worked across nearly every area of construction, though woodworking remains his greatest passion. He finds deep satisfaction in seeing a project take shape and bringing it to completion. Outside of work, he is actively involved in the life of his family and church community.

After studying theatre and gaining early carpentry experience building sets, he transitioned into finishing carpentry, where he spent over 15 years contributing to some of the most luxurious homes in the Lower Mainland. Robert is a Red Seal Certified Carpenter and the Founder of Homes to Havens, a boutique residential design and construction firm specializing in high-quality renovations and custom homes. With extensive experience in complex building projects, design coordination, and permitting, he brings both technical precision and strategic oversight to every build. Having completed the Project Management Program at UBC’s Sauder School of Business, Robert combines craftsmanship with disciplined project leadership to deliver a streamlined, detail-oriented client experience from concept through completion. Guided by integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to continuous improvement, he has built Homes to Havens on a simple principle: creating refined, welcoming spaces that reflect each client’s lifestyle and aspirations.
